About AZ Fitness

AZ Fitness was started by Azeemeh Taqi, an ex-corporate worker who grew out of the 9-5 grind to create a positive impact on the lives of others through fitness. The brand ‘AZ’ was not only inspired by her name but also by her philosophy to cover all aspects of fitness from A to Z and help people to achieve their diverse goals.

AZ Fitness champions sustainability in its clients. Their aim is to inspire their clients and coaches to incorporate fitness not only into their routines but into their lifestyles. After all, their goals are not a one-stop transformation but a journey in which healthy habits are created, maintained, and become a part of your identity. AZ Fitness work towards transforming your body and also transforming your mindset towards fitness.

Azeemeh

Azeemeh Taqi
Founder & Personal Trainer

After unpleasant experiences using fad diets to lose weight and suffering several injuries due to lack of guidance on form and technique when she first started weight training, Azee was determined to change and find balance. She embarked on a journey to learn the science behind training to find the safest and most efficient way to reach her goals.

She fell in love with resistance training and shifted her focus from chasing the smallest numbers on the scale through endless hours of cardio and minimal food, to being empowered by feeling strong and using proper nutrition to fuel her body for optimal performance.  

In pursuit of her passion to learn more about fitness, she took her personal training certificate and completed the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) course to advance her skills and proficiency. 

Azee believes that she can use her experiences accumulated over the years to help others in a similar position to her in the past, to overcome obstacles and get to a better place, both physically and mentally.

She wants to help her clients make healthy and sustainable choices that will set them up for the long term. Azee has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, such as those with past and existing injuries, and specialises in fat loss and hypertrophy. 

To her, fitness is more than just looking good, it’s about empowering others to show them what they’re capable of. 

She lives by the motto: “Fitness is a marathon, not a sprint”.

Hoi Han
Personal Trainer

A major foodie, Hoi Han started her fitness journey to stay in shape whilst working for a food blogger. She first fell in love with the addictive beats and adrenaline rush of spin, but decided to progress into strength training as she saw the benefits it had on her daily life, such as becoming stronger and more agile.

While she has worked in multiple boutique gyms since 2018, Hoi Han decided to take on a more impact driven role and pursued her passion for personal training to uplift others by helping them become the best versions of themselves.

“Keeping an active lifestyle has not only helped me gain confidence, but it has also improved my energy levels and instilled a sense of discipline in me. I hope to help others experience the joy, confidence, and strength I have developed from integrating fitness into my life!”
