‘You can’t judge a book by its cover,’ the saying goes. And that’s absolutely true, for books.

When it comes to people, appearances really do matter. We all make subconscious judgments about other people based on their personal grooming and clothing habits.

In a perfect world, we'd all be eating perfectly balanced meals, working out 2 hours a day, and sleeping 8 hours every night. How many of us, however, are actually lucky enough to live the luxury of this so-called ‘perfect world’?

“I’ll eat healthy, starting from tomorrow!”

We’ve all heard this one before. Whether they’re words that have come from your own mouth or that of a family or friend’s. We can pretty much predict what happens from this point onwards. A premium master plan is drawn out to lose 5kg in the next two months by restricting all favourite, processed, macro-unfriendly meals and snacks. After all, you’re dead set on your new plan and you’re determined to shed all the unwanted fats off the charts! 

Heavy lifting, repetitive movements and sitting at a desk all day at work can really take a toll on your body. A study conducted by the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) looked into the prevalence of neck, shoulder and back pain among office workers in Singapore, and found that 73.4% of the 324 respondents reported experiencing pain in at least one of those body parts. 

If you’re someone who has attended events in the past, you may not have thought much about them besides getting the most of them and having a great time - but behind every event is much time and effort put into planning and organising for a much greater purpose. 

A plant-based diet consists mostly or entirely of foods derived from plants. This includes vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, beans, nuts, and seeds, with little to no animal products. While it doesn’t necessarily mean abstaining from meat and dairy products entirely, it does entail proportionately consuming more foods that come from plant sources.
