About KMap Sports Therapy

KMap Sports Therapy specialises in chiropractic treatment dedicated to helping everyone, from top athletes and weekend warriors to desk-bound professionals, move and feel their best. Specialising in the treatment of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and more using Active Release Technique (ART), KMap offers a comprehensive approach to recovery and performance. Services include chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy (e.g. e-stim, microcurrent), and rehabilitation exercises, all designed to restore function, reduce pain, and optimise movement.

Chiropractor and Founder of KMap Sports Therapy

After working as a sports trainer in Japan, Dr Tomo moved to the United States in 2005. He obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Master's in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. During his time in the United States, he became certified in various treatment techniques.

After obtaining his doctorate degree, he interned at a clinic frequented by NFL players and Olympians and worked at a clinic frequented by MMA fighters and triathletes.

During his internship, he volunteered as a chiropractor at sporting events across the US, and after obtaining his doctorate, he has been involved in treatment activities at sporting events such as the World Masters Championships and the San Francisco Marathon.

He returned to Japan at the end of 2011 and opened his own clinic, K-MAP Chiropractic & Sports Therapy, in Akasaka, Tokyo.

Since 2014, the number of baseball player clients has increased, and he now works with players from all 12 teams.

In 2017, he signed a personal contract with Yusei Kikuchi. He is currently playing in MLB. He contributed to winning titles such as most wins and best ERA.

In 2018, he began caring for Nick Martinez (currently in the MLB). After that, he began caring for many foreign players from other teams, including home run king Laird.

Moved to Singapore in 2021 for child's education.

2015: Research works started in 2015, 2015 Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology ( Health Materials department)  Research subjects  Fascia and Fibroblasts

2017: PhD program at the Sports Medicine, Graduate School of Medicine, Keio University Research subjects: Sports injuries, muscle strain, fascia, 

2021: PhD, Research Student, Department of Human Sciences and Sports Sciences, University of East Asia
